Yeah great tactic but there is one problem with it.... They can't remember what you look like in the morning, they only have a picture of the person they met when they were sober...

On a football note, great game today, sorry about turning up late. I thought that when the ball was being played around on the floor we looked good. But as soon as we start getting tired it's "where are Dave and Miller" Longball....

Thursday, July 28, 2005

IT"S a great tactic i let some other bloke bore them to death then i get in there when they are so desperate to get away!!! plus i dont have to pay for the drinks. I have just been invited to watch arsenal train next week so i may have a few arsene wenger tips for you next week smurfy. I wont mention training other than i hope more people turn up next week really looking forward to sunday it will be good for everyone to get some match fitness under there belts
Ok, yep my fault. Crabman just saves himself money. Wait till there drunk and someone else has spent all there money and then jump in and do what ever it is that Crabman can do....
Ah got it. I think it's fair play and respect you for admitting that it was actually your fault.
it's not the first time Crab has cut someone elses grass, he did it to me in Blackpool, i did all the ground work and went to get a drink, next thing you know Crabman is in like a shot. ok it's my fault fopr getting her plastered but hell there is a lot of hair difference between me and Crab!! lol
Cutting grass? He's a fucking strange boy.

Sorry about training last night - had to work late at the last minute....
Saturday night.......

JT sick in the toilet, Ash asleep on the sofa, Matt trying to get a second job behind the bar... Cradman cutting evrey and any peice of grass, oh the joys of being soba...

Sorry i didn't make it to training last night had a couple of personal problems i had to see to, what time is it Sunday?

Wednesday, July 27, 2005

Yeah should be able to - am going to be running late at work though so might be best to have a back up plan just in case. Suggest Crabbeman, Tony or Matt.
Will someone be able to look after the training tonight because as i told you on saturday im not here tonight i will be in newcastle for 3 days at a wedding.
Shane anychance that you have most players phone numbers you could mail me at my home e-mail.
I am officialy at work for the game this sunday but i will be there for it unless i have an emergency call out.
Smurfy I can't make the game this weekend I'm in Torquay. Probably not a bad thing though as I'd hate to show up some of the players by getting into the starting squad for the first game of the season (which I also think I'm away for...)

See you guys tonight, looking forward to it after missing last week.
Is training at Northcroft tonight?
We have a game this Sunday at Trinity on the astro turf 11am kick off, and our next game after that is August 14th Away to Partick at Bradfield Southend.
Please pass this information on to anyone you know that does not have access to Blogger i will be in touch about it but there are a few peoples numbers that i dont have.

I can't really remember a lot in the early hours! I think Beanie saw JT having a second look at his dinner in the toilets! Ashley turned up out of nowhere after liquid! And Crabb stole his bird!

Crabb got about 10 phone calls, but I can't remember who was calling him, either way, everyone gave him some stick!

I pulled... my first ever pint. We all had a few to drink...

Cheers to Danny for the lift home!
So what's the remaining goss from Saturday then? My diving was cancelled on Sunday cos of the weather, but not until I'd got up at 6.15am and driven all the way down to Swanage feeling rough...

I heard some of you stayed there til 5am ish, someone was sick in the toilet and that Crabbeman copped off with that Millie girl after someone else had put in a lot of groundwork. Nice to see the squad working as a team this early in pre-season.

Friday, July 22, 2005

I do remember that actually. I also now remember scoring against MDM at Henwick as well when we came back from 0-2 down to win 6-2. Lewis crossed a crisp ball and I neatly sided-footed it in to spark the come back.

So two goals. Not too bad then considering amount of time played up front.

No idea about the blank blog. Must have been in a huff.
Shaner, you did score last season. It was at Henwick, against that rubbish team (Blue Bull?). I ran through from the midfield and played a subtle inch perfect ball into your path, which you finished off, but to be honest, the quality of the ball preceding your strike meant you couldnt really miss.

Did I mention I was involved in your goal?

Thursday, July 21, 2005

Is that what you really think Shane ?
Nice Blog
Shane i think you scored the same amount as me last season, training was ok 15 turnt up there seemed to be a few not looking to interested not mentioning names, it is looking as though we will be having a friendly on 31st July against Lewis's brothers team just awaiting confirmation.
bit depressing, I'm 32 and not sure I scored a competitive goal last season. Can anyone remember if I scored a goal in a proper match?
not too late mate no. See everybody there for 7.30pm sit-down on Saturday.

How was training at Northcroft last night? More room?

Wednesday, July 20, 2005

shane tomato and mozzarella for start and the bacon and honey for main cheers mate, hope I'm not to late
More Midfielders Matt will be happy
Smurfy - sorry mate but I also can't come to training tonight - have to work late for a pitch tomorrow.

The upside is, yesterday I had a meeting with Adidas and may be working with them on a new project which would involve me meeting Frank Lampard and maybe Stephen Gerrard and Beckham...

Smurf I'll need 3 extra signing on forms for Shefford. Lampard may be too smart but I know I can get Beckham and Gerrard to sign.

Tuesday, July 19, 2005

I'm not coming tomorrow if we're not playing at Vicky Park then. No eye candy, and no one to show off my fat belly too.

But the real reason I'm not coming is because it's my birthday and I'm not about. 24 yrs old tomorrow you know. Another 26 yrs till I'm the same age as Paul is now. Blimey.
STATTO! STATTO! STATTO! STATTO! STATTO!

In light of Sir Fergusons and Mr Mourinho's comments, some figures from the last seven years of European Football...

Arsenal: Played 64 - 34 home, 30 away. Percentage: 53%
Manchester United: Played 87 - 47 home, 40 away. Percentage: 54%
Chelsea: Played 40 - 22 home, 18 away. Percentage: 55%
Very true, plus there was a girls team that used to train down there too. Although that was a Thursday night of course, so probably no luck on a Wednesday, which is a shame, as Beeny and Lewis always used to try harder when the girls were looking. Matt always seems to play better at Vicky Park where there are lots of blokes.
Afternoon Mr Bellamy,i think we will give Northcroft a try this week as it was heaving at Vicky Park last week and there was imigrants everywhere and that was just the Reading lot.
At least at Northcroft there is a lot of room to find a space.
Morning Smurfy. Where will training be this week? Back to Vicky Park or give Northcroft a try?

Trophies are all on order. There's no Man Of The Match trophy this season as we hardly did it because of some dire performances throughout the season - so it was either pointless or some poor bloke gets it cos everyone was less pissed off about him than anyone else...

Also, Supporters Player is this season voted for by Matt's dad and Tony's dad. Julie said she hadn't seen enough games to warrant a vote and Dave Lewis thanked me for the phone call but explained that he was actually on the pitch trying to score goals so would prefer it if I looked on him as a player rather than a supporter. Can get very confusing.

Crabbeman - is Dave Frew coming on Saturday and if so can you get him to let me know his food choice? And confirm whether he's bringing those legs, er, I mean his girlfriend?
Morning chaps how are we all ?

Shane my food order for presentation night is :

Halfway mushrooms x 2
Chicken x 2

Not sure what the Mrs wants though ?

Sunday, July 17, 2005

Halfway mushrooms and salmon fillet for me please shane

Saturday, July 16, 2005

Good news for the Reading boys. I think the Vieira thing is good Business, he wasnt great last year, and we have never got anywhere near winning the Champions League with him. Someitmes getting rid of a dominant player can make other players step up. My worry is we will have a brilliant young team (Fabregas, Van Persie, Quincy, Senderos, Reyes, Flamini, Hoyte, Clichy etc. and maybe Jenas) but you dont win anything with kids...

Friday, July 15, 2005

Yeah I read that. Never heard of the guy but everybody at Reading seemed quite excited by the signing so maybe this year will be the one. Can't see Southampton challenging that strongly if they keep hold of Crouch (instead of selling him to the European Champions).

As for AFC, we've just lost Chris Gell to Northwood, which according to the website is a bit of a blow. Personally I'm not disappointed because I'm finding it kinda hard to give a shit. Much better to wait til the season starts and then worry about it all. For now, fetch my cider and factor 2 me up...
Yeh - It's a shame because he's a great player, the sort of player we want in the premier league. But, I suppose if he wants silverware, he's got to go and get it...

We've got Leroy Lita, great signing, 29 goals last year. Premiership here we come...
Aresenal boys gutted? I would be. Ha.

Tonys grub....

Starter: Chicken Liver Pate

Main: Crispy Bacon and Drizzled Honey
Too hot to go stupid again tonight so not a bad session
Well nothing definite yet, but one is a defender, and a good one, and the other is a bit of a utility player - can do midfield or defence or if really pushed up front as well. But again, a good player. Both from Brimpton.

They've made noises about signing for us before, so we'll wait and see whether these are just similar noises or whether they're looking at it a bit more seriously this season. I'd better not say much more cos it's not really my place any more, plus there's not much more to tell really except their names, which are Nick Leeming and Neil Sturmey.

Doh.

Ok from now on I'll try to keep out of this sort of thing and let Smurf handle the information side of things. Sorry Smurf. If it helps, I've been on the cross trainer morning and night for the past 3 days and did a big bike ride this morning so I should be a little fitter tonight...
Starter: Chicken Liver Pate
Main: Lamb Shoulder
Smurf - My ankle still isn't 100%, so Im gonna give training a miss for a few more weeks.

JT
Starter: Tomato & Mozzarella Salad.

Main: Breast of Chicken with Crispy Bacon and Drizzled Honey

Thank you.

More midfielders? !! Gulp!

I'm looking forward to tonight, haven't kicked a ball in months, and haven't ran in years. It's going to be bloody hot!

Tuesday, July 12, 2005

Halfway Mushrooms? Are they not fully developed? Or are they getting tattoes and talking in a deep voice whilst painting their nails and wearing heels?

I'll have the salad and the Chicken with Bacon and Honey, please thankyou.

Whats the goss on these signings then? More midfielders?!
Kirsty - Halfway Mushrooms and Salmon Fillet
Me - Tomato and Mozeralla Salad and Lamb Shoulder
Hi mate, yes if that's ok?

Looking forward to training again tom night. Just got back from a mad weekend in Ibiza, space on a sunday is awsome!!
Okay here's the menu for the presentation evening. I need to know what you want for starter and what you want for main course. As far as I can see at the moment it's only myself, Genghis and Smurf who are bringing lady-friends. This is fine (I'm not trying to drum up more numbers) - as we're limited to 20 places anyway. Browny will you be bringing your missus?

Either way, please either email me or post your selections on here. I need to know them by next Tuesday at the latest.

Choice of starters:-

Halfway Mushrooms
Chicken Liver Pate with an Autumn Fruit Chutney
Crispy Cajun Whitbait
Tomato & Mozzarella Salad

Choice of mains:-

Rump Steak topped with Melting Brie
Breast of Chicken with Crispy Bacon and Drizzled Honey
Lamb Shoulder on a bed of Minty Mash
Feta, Spinach and Field Mushroom Pasta
Salmon Fillet topped with Garlic Butter

Rumours of new signings for Shefford, good quality players too, be good to replace some of the depth of quality that we lost with people like Stronach and Lamb leaving. There'll be competition for places whatever, but when people are away it means we can still put out a quality side. None of this is my problem anymore of course, but I like typing.

End of season presentation - July 23rd - 7.30pm start on the dot at The Halfway Inn. £15 per person (limited numbers) for a starter and a main course (menu choices to be confirmed) drinks you buy yourself from the bar (so no "I only had a salad and it's cost me £452")

Simple as that.
I guess you could call Colin a new face, but then apparently it was just a one-off for him cos Jannine starts work in the evenings now so Colin can't come along again. Right there is the best advert for Durex I have ever seen.

Thursday, July 07, 2005

Yes Matthew there was another new face at training......mine. Well you know how often i trained.
The Turnout was: Myself,Shane,Lewis,Tony,Beenie,Miller,Neil,Colin,Danny,Crabbman,Frew,Sillsy,Stronach,Browny. And you will be in for extra running next week Matt due to you absence last night.
That's good news. A big turn out and we still two months till the new season. I'm looking forward to next week, need to get myself fit again. Yes, I was fit once apon a time.

Any new faces other than Miller?
Was everyone ok with the way training went last night? I was a bit concerned that i would fuck it up, i didnt want to knacker every one out on the first session and i wanted us to get the feel for the ball again,i will be bringing more in to the sessions as we move on but any feedback/comments are always welcome.

" Don't kick me "

Wednesday, July 06, 2005

Good turn out last night gents - wasn't expecting half that many, when the rest are available again there's gonna be a ton of us. With Miller and Lewis up front I reckon we'll bang in a few goals as well.

Gotta say I think Crabbeman is already bang in the running for most improved player - not that improvement was needed in my eyes but last night seeing him get the ball down and lay it off easy so many times it's like Roy Keane with finesse.

The one downside is that I got so used to training being on a Thursday that when I got back home last night I thought it was gonna be Friday the next day. Quite depressing to realise there were still 2 days to the weekend...
Vicky Park 7 PM
Stoopid question for the club elder to ask but where is training tonight? ;)

Tuesday, July 05, 2005

Hi Genghinator. One or both of Smurf and I will drop round on Wednesday to sign that form. I'll sort out the pitch fees with you at a later date, I'll probably phone linda and get her to send a new bill out to you.
