It was a lovely result and, bar some moments in the first half, a pretty strong performance. Any negativity in the first half though was all due to our own play going forwards as we still held them off very well with plenty of numbers getting back behind the ball.

In the second half our passing and movement got better and the fresh legs of Macca, Gareth and Adam really told on their tiring legs. I noticed as well that (once again) bring subs on gave us the same quality but renewed energy and their subs meant that they dropped in terms of quality. So while I know the size of our squad has it's down side, it's a great advantage to be able to make proper substitutions that add to how we're playing, rather than just having to give people games.

And I know that Q Associates beat Post Office Reserves 2-1 yesterday which could be great news for us. Still a long, long way to go yet though and some massive games to come. But a comfortable and strong 4 against Paggies with only one shot on target for them is a great way to start the year. We'll have a good run out on Thursday at training and hopefully we'll be mentally prepared to run PO Res ragged on Sunday.
