We're going to be called Shefford Old Boys soon!

Some things never change....

Match Report for Travellers Friend - Travellers Friend 2 Monument 1

Travellers was pushed all the way by a very new look monument side which seemed to have some very good new players in its team. Travellers could not seem to get any football going in the first half and was lucky not to be behind at half time with Monument hitting the post and Doug Dansie pulling off some fine saves to keep it 0 0 at half time. 2nd half.

Steve Crame put Travellers in front with a good insit from Matty Grantham, then Travellers found themselves being booked for silly incidents and should have known better. Matty Grantham got a second for Travellers, but then Aaron Colbourne got a straight red card and 5 mins later Martin Benson got a second yellow card with 20 mins to go.

Monument was given a life line with a very bad mix up between Doug Dansie in goal and Graham Gower in defence whom both left a ball just to see it tapped in by a monument player which cost Doug Dansie his 100% clean sheet record. Travellers Friend picked up two more yellow cards, but still managed to hold on with 9 men and nearly got a 3rd goal but had to watch the ball hit the post and go back into the Keepers hands.
