Colchester were awful on Saturday, but so, to be fair, were the MK Dons. The Dons supporter was in fine voice, but soon got shouted down with inevitable chanting to do with Franchises, Hockey Sticks, and Which clubs the fans will support next week.

However, the match for me will live long in the memory due to 3 amazing moments of ineptitude by the Dons striker, McLoed (who handled the ball for their goal, incidentally). Firstly running through on goal after the defender had slipped (running diagonally from the left), he shaped to shoot, fell over and the ball would have gone out for a throw in near the half way line, but it was also woefully short of power. There was a fair amount of laughter from the Barside, but nothing compared to the hysterics which followed 30 seconds later, when Mcloed chased done the Col Utd keeper, (who tried to control a backpass), tackled him, ran through on an open goal...and fell over again, landing in the net as the ball went out for a goal kick. Brilliantly, about 3 mins later, he was again through on goal, kept his feet, and hit it straight into the keepers arms. It was the funniest 5 mins I have ever seen at a football match, and it would have been even funnier if it weren't for the realisation that Colchester had let this muppet have 3 clear chances in 5 mins.

Fair mix of Wimbledon Shirts and MK Dons shirts, 2 MK Dons scarfs, 1 Womble, 0 Hockey Sticks.
