Rolling subs yes, too many players and too many combinations to stick with a first half/second half team strategy. Trouble is, you need to give people more than 20 minutes to see how they're going to fit - for example we have grafting midfielders and creative midfielders, so any combination of 4 out of about 7 players, I can't do the maths but you can't fit that in in 90 minutes without rolling subs every 4 minutes...

Plus every game's different. It's the one thing Dave Jones said that ever made any sense, that the same squad can be ideal against one team, but ineffective against another. He then said "Mine's a pint." but I don't see the relevance in that bit.

We'll see how it goes, specific things I want to try are:- 1. Neil in left-mid with Dave and I up front. 2. Combos of centre midfielders between John Sills, Crabbeman, Rob and Adam. 3. Me in the pub.

Dunno about Jamie, I think he's still mulling it over. Great defender, watches the ball not the man and can stop Dave Lewis so what more proof do you need? Don't want to pressure anyone to sign though so it's completely up to him.

Does anyone know if Nigel is playing on Sunday? Be useful if he could. If he's signing on this season (if he's not then strictly Blackpool should be out of bounds for him) then he only needs to pay a fiver signing on fee. That's what goes to the league and I won't make him pay the rest due to the limited number of games he'll get as reserve keeper. Need him on Sunday though.

18 people at Shefford training (and a European!!!) not bad. Will probably do a little more fitness work next week, depending on how people look on Sunday...
