You don't 'buy' Essex boy t-shirts, they give them to you when you apply to leave the county and go and live in other areas of England. Kind of like the shell suit scousers get, the Newcastle kit they give to geordies and the stupid footy opinions they give to Arsenal fans. "Campbell's the best defender in the world..." How quaint.
Neil you did the right thing on Sunday tracking back hard, some games you just have to suck it up and fall back in, sometimes if you're doing that I'll tell you to stick up front and it's up to the others to get themselves out of the hole they're in and get the ball to you, to drag the game back up the pitch, but against Cold Ash it was all hands to the pump. Really thought we had them quiet at the end of the game though, which was great to see. Or hear. Or not hear. Earned ourselves a lot of respect. Not that we need their respect, but at least I respect you. Not you Browny.
For everyone coming to training on Thursday, try and get there as close to 7pm as possible because we'll run out of light otherwise. This week we're going to try Stroud Green, so if anyone doesn't know where that is, pipe up and I'll tell you.
The bad news is, we won't just be having a match this week, but the good news is we won't be doing too much fitness stuff either. We'll be working on reactions and agility, and I promise we won't be doing any back-to-back knee busters.
You boys wouldn't know a hard days graft if it bit you on the arse. Me neither. That reminds me - I might not be able to make training next Thursday cos EA Sports are taking me out for a drink, darlings. So cool. Got my arse shot off by the IT guys and my boss on Medal Of Honour at lunchtime. Need to practice my close quarter combat skills... Everyone looking forward to FIFA 2004? I'm getting it first...
