Well personally I don't get horse racing, but I appreciate that that must just be a "me" thing as many many other people swear by it for a good day out. For me it's more like going to a pub with my mates, getting drunk, but every 15 minutes or so handing random people £20 and watching them walk away with it.

I thought I probably should have a Stag night, not to sure what to do though. Don't fancy going abroad because I do that every December for the football trip. Was thinking about doing a horse racing day somewhere, comedy club in the evening etc etc. Any ideas gratefully received.

Well when you lot are back we'll have to have a chat about dates and activities - you can do a snowmobile race, private group on the race track, 16 laps for £20. Doesn't say whether there are jumps or not...

Yeah that sounds good. We only have to occupy ourselves for the Saturday daytime as the Friday is usually spent in the boozer for those that head up on the early bus. It's also a lot closer for those that want to work and come up after.

We can always turn bowling into some sort of competition, along with watching Browny trying to ski, it has great potential for being a good laugh!

I quite like clubs with different themed rooms, move variety, so if you want to drink beer to 'boom' boom' boom' you can, or if you want to drink beer, chat and have a laugh - you can!

Just have the difficult task of setting a date that suits the majority...

I have a mate who used to live in Milton Keynes so I asked him what he thought of the place in terms of a footy team weekend away. He reckons it'll be good:-

The Snow Dome is a massive complex with indoor rock climbing, and a ten pin bowling alley too, so you can do a few things during the day.

About 4 mins walk across the road from the snowdome is the Theatre District – this has a load of decent restaurants, and also quite a few pubs (Lloyds is always good). Once you’re done there, you can walk back over to the Snowdome and head into the main big club called Ocean if you’re in the mood for it. It’s not the best club in the world, but it’s got loads of different themed rooms from the Jap bar when you first come in, to the ski lodge for a bit of chill, an 80’s room upstairs and a main dancey room.

There’s a travel lodge about 5 mins away if you want to get rooms.

Sounds okay eh? Choice of pubs and a club with different areas in it, all we need right?

It was kind of gutting but very encouraging at the same time - we flew at Turnpike (4th in div one) from the kick off, were all over them like a rash and then with their first attack they scored. Soft goal too, bit annoying, but we weren't over-worried cos we were playing so well. That was why going 2 down minutes later was a kick in the nuts. Then going a 3rd down minutes later again was starting to take the piss.

Luckily Gareth took a gamble and their goalkeeper screwed up leaving him with an easy finish and then it was our turn for shock and awe as Matty scored a goal very much like Rooney's second, then Miller (who had a great game on his own up front, really caused em a lot of problems and took a string of really dangerous corners) curled one in from a tight angle and then caused a defender to skew the ball into his own net to put us 4-3 up just before half time. Ben even had a chance to make it 5 before the break but the goalie was in the right place.

But then midway through the second half they've had a corner and taken a shot from point blank range straight at Ben's face. Out of instinct he's brought his hand up and it hit it. A lot of ref's would have waved it away for ball to hand but this one gave a penalty. Fair enough I suppose - I know we'd have been screaming for a penalty if it had been up the other end - but then he sent Ben off! Told him that he should have used his face! Cunt! Course that wound us up a bit and they scored the pen and then scrambled in a shit goal to take the lead. We were down to 10 then and a bit knocked off our stride so Crabbeman came closest with one off the bar.

I had a chat with the ref afterwards and he said that it would only be a one game ban, not six, which was good news I suppose, but he still got it way wrong to send him off. Smurfy got booked in the ensuing pandemonium and then had a bit of a fracas with one of their strikers - really thought he was gonna go but luckily not, could have been disastrous.

Disappointing that they've only had 5 shots on target in the whole game but they've all gone in, and that for the first time in a while we made a substitution that gave us pretty much nothing, but really pleased with our character to come back and the fact that for 90% of the game we've outplayed a team who are doing well in the division above. We were the better team by far, Turnpike only looked like they were in the same league when we were down to 10 men.

They won't be looking forward to playing us next season if we go up.

Anyway, to sum up, no.

Just wanted to say how unlucky we were yesterday i thought we dominated the game and couldnt beleieve it when we were 3-0 nil down but we showed great team spirt to not only get back into the game but also to be winning at half time. I really do think we would have won the game if we had not had Ben sent off. Smurf warned me that the ref was bad before the game i just didnt realise how bad and fat!!!!! I thought i had finally shut john sills up yesterday with my wind assisted miss hit cross but then it hit the bar dole!!! last sentence sounds a bit like your goal matt MISS HIT CROSS your claim that you meant it was nearly as bad as when ronaldhino tried to claim he meant that lob over seaman in the world cup. Hope everyone going skiing has a great time and make sure no one breaks there legs!!!!!

Matty i'm glad it was not just me that was having problems getting this thing to work.

I must hold my hands up a bit about yesterday as i completley lost the plot and got a bit side tracked from the game and just went into Mr Angry mode.I should know better than that and was very lucky not to be looking at a ban so i will try and control myself a bit better.

I'm still angry about yesterdays game, although it's only a cup game I was desperate to win after our comeback and the shocking decision from the fat pie eating twat of a ref. As we said yesterday and in Shane's previous post, just a little common sense should have used. It would be interesting if that happened in the Premier League - I'm still not sure a player would have walked.

If we'd lost 3-0 and hadn't performed as well as we did, it would be a lot easier to take.

Although looking back, I had two half chances on the edge of both sides of the box that I really should have done better with, so it's swings and roundabouts I guess.

But there you go, there is still a lot to be taken from the game and the performance. I can't think of another occasion where we have bounced back from 3-0 down to take the lead, and everyone was full of hunger and gave 100%. And back to the league we go....

Really, genuinely bad luck today boys. The more I think about it the worse the ref's decision was - if the ball hadn't hit Ben's hands it would have slammed off his face and still not gone in, so a penalty is a harsh enough punishment for that and a sending off is just wrong. But take that out of the equation and we were the best team by quite a way. They only had five shots on target in the whole game whereas we completely bossed them in the first half.

To go 3 down in such bizarre fashion and still finish the first half 4-3 up was great to see. If we'd sparked out of that funny moment sooner we could have ridden with the bad ref decision but sometimes games just go against you like that - the main thing is to remember that we outplayed them for long periods of the game and even when we were a man down, a goal down and virtually 3 at the back they still didn't trouble Smurf. Whereas we scored 4 quality goals, played some quality football and had other chances, including hitting the woodwork. Shows what we're capable of.

After an FA disciplinary hearing today, the club has been informed that AFC Wimbledon have been removed from this season's FA Trophy competition and Gravesend & Northfleet have been reinstated. The club will also have to repay £7,000 of prize money from the first round and the third qualifying round.

The committee concluded that further FA sanctions would not be appropriate and therefore there has been no fine imposed and the club is free to enter the FA Trophy in future seasons.

The decision is a consequence of an unfortunate administrative error and AFC Wimbledon is suffering a a result of an FA crackdown on such situations as evidenced by the sanctions imposed on Bury in relation to this season's FA Cup.

The decision is final and binding and there can be no appeal.

The club has also been informed that the Ryman Football League is charging us with a breach of league rule 6.1 in fielding a player before having obtained an international transfer certificate.

The club will make a further statement at a later time.

Schoolboy error lads. Smurfy's admin skills would have come in handy there.
