Morning all,

Great training last night (from a midfielders point of view), I was very impressed how much training we did, and only a small match at the end(for those that weren't there, we looked at shooting, passing, heading, quick feet etc). Really looking forward to Sunday, lets make sure we get off to a good start, play the passing to feet football we have been doing in training.

By the way, I think, I think, that, no, hang on, let me just check...yep, the Reds won the match last night. Anyone know who got the winning goal?
Smurfy it's not okay I can't take training tonight after all. Someone else will have to do it.

Sorry.

Smurfy if it's okay I'll take training this week, been a while since I've done that and as it's the last one before the start of the season I will make it motivational to the extreme. Plus it means I don't have to run around so much cos I'm getting old.
Post 4217 Lads just to inform you,we are away to Newbury Post office this sunday away at Ecchinswell.
I am not here for training this week as i will be working away so if someone wants to look after training please do.
I have sent everyone a text message saying all this information so if you would kindly return the message stating if you are available or not it would be appreciated.
Well gents (this is post 4216, by the way), we're in the final week before the season...

I hope we are all ready to go, firing warning shots from the start. Is it Post Office we've got? And is it at the Fortress or somewhere else?
I am polish so I should get one ticket. If you like I will wear black leather.

Mind you i am in Newbury and it is pissing down
what about all them poor buggers who didn't get on the ark?
Bit of rain never hurt anyone!
I am around tonight, but just looking at the weather I'm wondering whether a pub bonding session might be better for squad morale?

I can't really remember that many times training in the rain while I was in charge. Seems a bit weird. I remember freezing cold and fog, but not really getting that wet that many times.

Ah well, I've brought me stuff so may as well see it through.
Im not around either tonight gents. Mirroring what matt said good luck for the first game and we will be back for the game on Sept 11. I would have worn white tonight.
I won't be training tonight guys. Going on holiday tomorrow and haven't done anything towards sorting out my stuff yet.

If I had have gone, I would have worn red.

Good luck in the first game (Post Office I think it was), a good win would start the season nicely.

A 0-0 that we should have won. I don't remember them having a shot from inside the area, and it should be remembered that we had Matty and then Frew in goal, with Crabbeman playing Centre Back for some of it. I nearly scored with a header, so that's should tell you the flow of the game in itself! Their keeper played well, but at times it was us attacking, them kicking the ball out and us coming at them again, time after time. I got the feeling that i we had got one, then the proverbial floodgates would have opened.

Rob did well to be fair, ran through and turned well to evade the keeper, leaving him on the left hand side of the goal, about 6 yards out, with just the MASSIVE GAPING WIDE OPEN NET to aim at. He managed to hit it with his left, and dragged it right across the face of the goal and out for a goal kick. Cue head in hands all round.
So was it a 0-0 that we should have won? Or a 0-0 that we should have lost? Or a fair result?

I'm flying back from Manchester on wednesday but still hoping to make it back for training. If the weather is as crap as they say it's gonna be then we'll see who's got the heart for it and who hasn't.

Someone wanna talk me through Rob The Dane's sitter?
Morning Lads,

Good performance yesterday I thought, the 2nd Third was the best. We never really looked like conceding, just a shame we couldn't get the ball in the net. As Arsene Wenger would say though, 'there were lots of positives to take from the game and the team can be encouraged'
