Gents,

I'm thinking of running an inter-Shefford World Cup competition "football predictor" style. Basically predict the positions of every team at the end of the group stage. Then after the group stage we'll revisit and predict the next rounds through to the final (so if you've been a dufus and lost more than half the teams in the group stage you're not completely out of it...)

It can be respect based or a little bit tastier with, say, £5 each and winner takes all?

Let me know if you're interested and if any Shefford-ite who's not on the blogger might be interested. (And before people ask, let's keep this within the club, even good mates not allowed, as otherwise if someone walks off with all the money from outside the club we'll take it as a sign for next season...)

And while I may not go with it, my own stab at the BBC's World Cup Predictor resulted in England winning, Argentina runners up and France beating Brazil to 3rd place. Fucking get in.
No Genghis? That's a crushing blow. Apparently it's down to a lack of funds, which I can appreciate given my current level of skintness. That said, I'm still going, but may have to resort to the Browny tactic of drinking left-over drinks in nightclubs. Should be a good weekend.

There were always going to be drop outs with that many people booked up - Smurfy I hope you're getting the drop outs to cover any lost deposit money so it doesn't leave you short...
This page has taken so long to load up that I've forgotten what I was going to say. Hopefully, at some point through this I'll remem... Why have they cancelled? WHY NO GHENGIS?!
Neil has not responded to any of my texts so dont know yet,as for Miller we will just have to wait and see.
Dropouts!!!!! Boooo.

Smurf is Curtis going? And think Miller may drop out yet as well.

A couple of drop outs to confirm,Ashley and Ghengis
I don't pal,but I'm thinking you've got the kit, and a digital camara, so...

And as for the trip down, I think Shaner and I should go in the front with JT in the back and Browny in the boot. Any disagreements? If I don't hear by 11.59pm tonight, I'll assume thats cool.

And that's legally binding.
I take it you mean the gold/blue kit? If so, no. Why do you want it? Are you sorting out sponsorship? Good lad.

Has anyone got a picture of our shefford kit, if so e-mail me c.brown@huxley.co.uk!! ta
I dont do being sick. Im sure Taylor won't mind sitting in the back the whole way. he is cool about being crammed in, just as long he gets there. He just e-mailed me and told me that.
How's that gonna work with the agreement that Sillsy and I had about front seat? JT's come in and f*cked the whole thing up good and proper, like only a Taylor can. Ah well, I guess that means Sills and Taylor in the back gaying it up and me in the front there and back.

Who drives while Browny's being sick?
Ok no change of plan, aparently I can't pick my car up until the end of june. So we are craming in to the BMW. Fingers crossed for the weather, as we can cruise with the roof down when we get to Newquay.

Taylor if you still want to jump in with Silsy and Shane, you are more than welcome. But can someone let miller know as I wont be able to fit him in.
Screech, of course, being the sound the Car would make as it pulled to a halt to pick me up. And the circle is complete...

In the words of U2, 'It's a Beautiful Day', lets hope it stays live this for a few weeks.
I'd be happy with weather like this for Newquay, warm enough to sit out in a beer garden but not too hot to burn us to death and give us red-neck wetsuit marks from half a day in the sea...

Okay, and the hairstyle would explain the likeness to the popular US sitcom character, "Screech" - it's almost poetic.

Zoiks!
That would explain his hair style....
You've obviously never been in a car with Browny. He doesn't use the brake, he simply glides to a halt, opening his window and stiking his head out to act as a sail, which turns the car left and right.
Yeah right, with Browny behind the wheel I can already hear the screech of the brakes.
Indeed, otherwise it's likely the car will drive straight past without noticing.
