Hope everyone had a happy Easter - just to let you know that AFC Wimbledon got promoted yesterday with a 3-0 win over someone-or-other... They need another point (from 5 games remaining) to secure the title, but are promoted either way. Ryman Premier next season then, aiming for a place in the Conference South. Bring it on.
Need to start thinking about an end of season piss-up for us lot.

Return of the Dan.
Good luck tonight mate if you're playing. The one thing I failed to do as a player or manager for Shefford was to win a cup comp - made couple of finals and a few semis but never got the cigar. I say the one thing, never managed to bone Cody either, and with this season's trip being Newquay not Blackpool it's looking less and less likely that that's gonna happen...
I wonder if Alex Ferguson will have these sort of regrets.

Always knew I'd get on Sky Sports sooner or later - here's a screenshot of the banner ad featuring none other than me! The opening line is "It's not WHO you buy..." as we're taking a swipe at Fantasy Footy games and saying it's not just about which player you pick when on CM Online you can position them, train them and tell them how to play...

Okay well I've made a provisional booking for 14 people here...
http://www.newquayreefsurflodge.co.uk/
Now I don't want you getting all excited by the photos of the sexy girls on the site - working in advertising that's the oldest trick in the book and you just know it'll be full of blokes when we actually get there.
Still, it worked and we're booked up. I'll let you know what I need in terms of deposits as soon as I know.
What about matey from Post Office - if he's gonna sign on next season he should be invited along I guess...

Gents - it's my birthday today. 32 years old, now old enough to shag girls half my age without getting arrested.
Right I've found another place to stay so can everyone let me know for definite if they're coming or not - this is the list as I have it...
Me
Smurf
Paul
Matt
Dave
Adam
Tony
Crabbeman
Sillsy
Browny
Stronach
Jamie
People I'm not sure about are:-

Cheers!
SB
p.s. John, always go for the crotch first, if there's a bulge either it's a bloke or you're touching yourself up - either way it's time to stop drinking.

Well mate, Im gutted to hear you're off, although I dont fully believe it; Im sure youll play a few games next season. Youll get asked to play one (Im in Fiji in October...) then youll score and get a renewed taste for it! You will be missed so make sure you keep coming to training and the nights out. And thankyou for giving me your support for that right wing slot, although with Genghis I might be playing left back next season.... (Joking Mikey, of course...). Also Shaner, Thanks for saying it was a nicely taken goal, but what do you mean you thought it would be blasted wide?!
That's sad news Paul but I guess I'm glad that a Newbury League journeyman like yourself chose to spend your last few years with Shefford. And got to be a key part of the squad that won the league too. I don't think there's any question of you not coming to Newquay and I'm sure we shall miss those all-important goals you have a habit of scoring.
I look forward to your comeback when you decide that no football is too much of a compromise.

Bad luck yesterday boys, there's a key reason why we lost and it's not something that would have been easy to change, plus we've had the upside of the same reason in the past so you have to take the rough with the smooth. I think the scoreline flattered them a little bit but they were a lot better in terms of moaning this time so fair play.
Nice finish from Mr Sills too, nicely placed into the net rather than powered wide like we were all expecting...
Got a bit more sleep yesterday too which was nice - should be able to make it to training on Thursday this week too, first time for a while so I look forward to suffering a bit on Friday.

Yes mate I did thanks - Steve was dead chuffed.
He raised over a grand for charity in the end, got on Meridian TV as well but that was a good bit of coverage in the press. Apparantley, because of him doing that wearing the brewery's mascot costume, The Halfway has been bumped to the top of the list for having a re-furb, so we might find ourselves celebrating wins next season (eternal optimist eh?) in a cosy bistro rather than a pub.
The bloke in Newquay is now not responding at all, even after I promised him half an hour with Atkins in a locked room with no questions asked. So, I'm not gonna stand for it. Hell no. Damn straight. I'm gonna find us another place to stay...
And email him once more just to check.
Doesn't look like I'll be at training tonight (again). Sorry, there's a technical glitch with our AdMonkey so I need to be here dealing with the clients while the tech-heads upstairs fix it. Another late one... That said, I did get sent a casting video yesterday for a viral ad we're producing shortly, involving a model stood clutching, then unclutching, her bare breasts. Working late aint so bad...

Nope - the significance is that after that game there are only two teams in our division who we have not beaten this season. One is Vodafone, who we played twice without a proper goalkeeper, and at one point in those games we had them on the ropes. Plus we beat them last season anyway. The other is Westwood, who we haven't lost to and who we still have to play one more time.
The significance of that is that it shows that we've got the potential to beat anybody we come up against in this division, so while morale has taken a bit of a hit, we should still have a bit of belief in ourselves to take into next season.

Totally mirror those thoughts Beeny, I was in a good mood for the rest of the day yesterday, so good to be able to beat a team of whingers and moaners like that - plus, they're not actually that bad a side so we showed we could match them and more, which is very encouraging.
Strange that it feels like it's been a bit of a wash out season and yet we're still 4th in the league and in a cup competition. There's a good chance that Chav Friend won't catch us now given the games they've got left. I know another team has games in hand on us but if we beat Westwood then the rest is up to them.
Little bit of 'trivia' style info here - can anyone tell me the significance of us beating Chav Friend yesterday?

All quiet on the Shefford blog.
Anyone know who we've got on Sunday? I'm going to try my best to get to training tomorrow but I'm up in London for a meeting in the late afternoon so I don't know what time I'll be getting out of there and back to Newbury way.
My knees, however, are due to appear in a banner ad for CM Online.
Has anyone ever used Habbo Hotel? If so, what do you think about it?

Haha - tell me about not much sleep, I'm totally shattered. However, all in a good cause, as I'm just about to call Razorlight's manager to talk about doing some work with them... And my car is just about to appear in a tv ad, and my knees are just about to appear in online ads for ChampMan Online... www.cm-online.com for those of you who would like a dabble - only £3.99 a month to pit your CM skills against real people rather than just your PC...
