That package sounds great Sillsy get Browny to sort the tickets out.
Check this out...

The new championship manager
Well lads, not sure what to say about today's match! I didnt think we played that well, but if we had been arsenal or man utd and played the same match against, say, newcastle away, then the commentators would have probably said we 'did a professional job in a tough match'. They did have a strong midfield, and our defence did well but i didnt really think they had much up front, or in defence. I mean, i ran the length of the pitch in the 89th minute without a challange!

Obviously there is no argument as to the best goal of the match, my screaming swearving 20 yard shot, which i put spin on so it would decieve the goalie...well played matty though, took the piss out of them. Have to say it was great to see neil back though, and he fitted back in like he hadnt been away.

So, won 11 lost 6, three matches to go...then thats it until september! not happy about that...!

Any ideas for end of season do? How about jongleurs? I hear they do 2 for 1 on tickets, you get a three course meal too...

I think we're doing okay for a team - Mikey's in charge of selection for this Sunday cos he's seen how you played and have trained for the past two weeks whereas I've just seen the sun, sea and sand so I have no idea who's good and who sucks at the moment. But as far as I'm aware we're virtually full-squadded, so you go and enjoy watching a baby pissing on a vicar.
oi sod off im not over 30 either
Un-replaceable... Yeah your certainly one of a kind Mikey.

So what makes you think you don't qualify for the over 30's then?
It's a good shout. Shefford Old Boys FC. Smurfy must qualify as well eh? And your good self. About time I got myself a new right back anyway.
End of October? That means you must have shagged at the end of January, which I make it the MDM game that was cancelled cos of the weather. So, once you found out there was no game and you had Dale nice and warm in bed waiting for you, off you popped. If you see what I mean. Disgusting. From now on any cancelled games means we're doing training instead, I'm not having any more babies around the place. Hilly's lad is almost old enough to sign on, which is good cos Hilly's almost old enough to retire.

Anyway, back to the point, congratulations Genghis, you know what they say, 3rd time lucky, so let's hope this one's yours.

10am Brimpton Sunday - Hampstead Norreys - we only beat them 1-0 last time and they had quite a good midfield. Defence wasn't so hot in the end but their midfield protected them a lot, so it could be a tough game.

Blooger?

I fink it's 9.45am at Northcroft. If it's any different I'll text you.
What time are we meeting on sunday and where? I'm off up norf this evening and not coming back til Saturday night so if you could let me know it be much appreciated.
Good to see you back mate, glad to see you had a good time. How was the diving?
Who have we got on Sunday lads?

so what you going to talk about with Eidos, R u looking to get the rights to Market their stuff. That would be wicked.
Plus we're seasoned and conditioned for 1st Div footy now, whereas they're just amateurs having a good season. We've earned our stripes mate, it'll be men against boys, or Porto against Man U, whichever way you want to look at it.
Yeah I was only kidding about the web site, I can imagine its hard work, I'd struggle to even find the time.

So your setting next years targets already...! Not a bad call though, i dunno what The Travellers Friend will be like? Looks like there going to be promoted and there romping the 2nd Div. Obviously we're much better than them...
No, got back Monday night. Absolutely knackered, but a class holiday, well worth it. Might be a while til the next one though.

Off to a meeting with Eidos later today, the people who brought us Championship Manager...

Bear with Genghis, I know how much effort it is to do a website and I never even attempted to do it myself using all the technology shit.

I was thinking last night, with Cold Ash out the way next season, I reckon the Lakeside Cup is ours. I want another trophy.
I didn't think you were back until the weekend Shane. Good Holiday? Need I ask....

It's lovely shade of red on the web site, I hope we keep it, has an element of class about it.

Class B's afternoon painting lesson.

it is a game in a way, its called 'find the rest of the fu*king website'...
Website (Sheffordfc.com) says "Come on Smurfy" - I thought it was a game or something...
Had a letter from the Berks & Bucks while I was away. Turns out they've declined our appeal re the Vodafone game, but as it took them nearly a season to do so they have refunded the £25 it costs to get an appeal. As we've slipped to 4th in the league (still effing good) I'm not going to pursue it, as it seems that the NSDFL aren't too negative about us at the moment. So I'll let sleeping dogs lie. We've made our point by making them have to explain themselves to the B&B FA, which they must have squirmed about a bit to sort out, so we'll leave it at that.

Read last night about the Falklands v Hermitage game last week, must have been good to watch.

I shall be at training and wearing shorts.

Tuesday, February 24, 2004

Sorry John Sills, just realised that was your joke and I robbed it!
Knock knock,

Who's there?

Little boy blew,

Little boy blew who?

Michael Jackson!

Monday, February 23, 2004

Hello Shane / Mike, can't make training this week but I am available Sunday.

Sunday, February 22, 2004

Been thinking about the TVS game - turns out it was my fault. Bastards. Still, I'll explain all next week and we'll not throw points away like that again.

Football Genius.

Monday, February 16, 2004

Exactly, four matches left, four wins required. Also, I think it went unnoticed that our win on sunday moved us onto the magical 30 point mark, which means, erm, that we have won at least half our matches!
Dave Frew in goal? Will the poor lad ever get to play centre back? No, he's shite. That's unfair of course, but blame the sunshine, sea and cocktails. Frewy you're a star playing in goal and joining the clean sheet crew, which consists of me, you and Smurf. You might want to find another crew after hearing that. And you'd be well within your rights.

Shoulda seen the sights I've seen today boys. More on that when I get back. Phew. 5-0 get in there, reckon there'll be no game this week, so I'm back for the next one. No more points dropped til next season!

Sunday, February 15, 2004

Only just remembered boss, although in my defence you did log on while we were all still at the pub watching arsenal beat chelsea..

We did indeed win 5-0, we played quite well but they werent really much competition. Hilly was first and Beeney second in MOTM, and frew snuck in third place, having a solid game, to the extent that i dont think the other team would have realised he wasnt a gol keeper. One of lewis goals was a penalty, the other two were normal lewis strikes. Crabbeman played well and deserved his goal (a shot as he was falling over into the bottom corner) as did johnny lamb (long ball from Hilly (!!!!), brought down in the area and finished into the corner)

Arsenal won 2-1, Reyes getting 2, Colchester lost 1-0, in mid week Man Utd lost at home to boro. Still got next week off, match hasnt been rearranged, as far as we have heard.

Im off to watch 'Back to Reality'...

Anything else you want to know shane, let us know, hope you having a good holiday. Bastard.
Won 5-0 shane. Dave got hat trick in first half, dave crabbe and johnny lamb. Apparently frew had a blinder in goal.. Wasn't there myself so thats all i know!! You'll have to wait for a full update from mr sills.
Bastards - I'm logged on here to see how you got on against NTS, and no score. John Sills....????

Friday, February 13, 2004

Ha ha, Game on Gengo has the game!! We can have a compo. Your right thou, we have this drunken conversation most weeks you could shoot from the half way line and curl it in the top corner! Or in some cases slice it in the top corner... Ain't that right Mi.....Tony.
In order to have a 're-sale' value surely the person has to 'buy' the item..... The Frew has 5 Spectrums, he's banging them out at £20 a piece.

Mikey, Frew just e-mailed everyone a response to the posts about him today. He said 'In goal, I thought I'd be right back to replace the good for nothing cock sucking pile of shit that usually plays there'. (Cut and paste is a great invention).

I thought that was a bit harsh. Some people ay. How are you Michael? Hope your well, do you prefer red or green apples? Tell you what, I'll bring one of each for you on Sunday.
You're right Dave Frew, I AM glad I did that nasty tackle last night! You've really set yourself up now mate, better hope you have a good game on Sunday. I notice you didn't say anything bad about Mike, funny that as he's picking the team this week....

Thursday, February 12, 2004

No way Amega 1200 kicks ass over the atari any day. I was after an N64 for Megan as she loves playing Mario Cart, so if anyones got an old one they wanna flog me...

Can we practice shooting tonight, I could do with a bit of practice after Sunday's woefull efforts.
Hi everyone, just got back from me travels up corridor to vending machine. Crunchie for 40p. John, Amega mate, a lot better than the Commodore 64. I'll beat anyone at sensible soccer. Although I've heard the new Atari is coming out in March.

Wednesday, February 11, 2004

No idea mate, lets concentrate on winning the last five games and see where we are then!

Not a great result for colchester, could still happen though. The word form Layer road is that Andrews is very skillful, lots of running, but doesnt deliver the end product anywhere near as many times as he should. Scotty McGlish is top scorer, Rowan Vine was playing wing but had a couple of good games up front (coventry for example), and Craig Fagen is also a quality striker, so its pretty competitive...
Anyone know where we are in the league now?
Oh you're an Arsenal fan now Colchester lost to lowly Southend - at least it is two legged, you might beat them away from home. How come Wayne Andrews is constantly on the bench I thought he was one of their best players.

Now you can come to the game on Sunday it will probably be called off especially if Dave Frew comes...

Tuesday, February 10, 2004

no posts on a tuesday huh? whats going on here...

You'll all be pleased to know I am available for sunday, i almost wasnt as i had a ticket for Chelsea-Arsenal, and I couldnt decide what to do, but the decision was taken out of my hands as the person i was going with isnt going now so the ticket isnt available any longer!

Collective sigh of relief everybody...

Monday, February 09, 2004

Ref was shit, was getting quite annoyed with him. Ill do a match report...

Game Kicked off, Shefford played ok, Ref was poor, Smurf faked injury to get home early for a sleep, Frew took over in goal, did well, cant build a wall though (Strange as he is usually hiding behind them), shefford conceded two, game finished. Atkins wins man of the match, lamb and sills tie in third, good midfield performance then! No one played badly, everyone could have played better. Probably would have won 4-0 if we were still in the 2nd division.

Report over.

Oh and Hilly, ni havent spoken to you much recently as ive been talking about the f.a. cup and the LDV trophy, two tournaments your motley crew are no longer in...

No-one daring to do a report on yesterday during Shane's abscence? Thought the ref was bad, although none of his bad decisions altered the outcome of the game. Bet Mr Green is gutted, none of us told him to clear it 'cause we know how composed on the ball he is. The game pulled him back but it was one of those annoying fouls that the ref either didn't see or is unlikely to give (have I just contridicted myself after saying the ref's decisions didn't affect anything? - I need another holiday!).
Mike have you got a N64 with Mario Cart that I could borrow / buy?
Mike will those games work in my Spectrum?
I have a gameboy.... It's great.

Friday, February 06, 2004

Ok men of the world , I need some advice...

Should I Trade in my playstation 2 and get an Xbox...?
Just starting work on the advertising brief for FIFA 2005 and Euro 2004...
Ooh, harsh.
Personally I'd rather my last touch being one that I meant.
Browny if you remember your last touch as being the goal in the final, then you never need to worry about kicking a ball again.

Thursday, February 05, 2004

I disagree shaner, people say if we dont want to win cups why play in them, then other people say we dont give youth a chance. Its a squad game these days, and while im not bothered if we go out, i want us to win everything we enter. Playing the carling cup gives us a chance to give our youngsters first team games to make it easier for them to come into the team when needed in the league. Im sure wenger wants to win the carling cup, but out of the four tournaments we are in, it comes a clear fourth...

It is officially 144 days since you last kicked a ball browny. You almost kicked one on november 23rd, but it took an ackward boounce, hit your flag and went in the river.
I like that one! Laughed out loud and had to explain why to the person next to me.

Obviously I started it 'Well imagine a really clumsy air traffic controller but with only one flag...'
I make it about 100 attempts since you last kicked a ball.
Shin pads and £144.00 Colin.
hello gents,

hows we, so whats all this about me being right, im always right. Just checking on the food thing, we have to pay extra if we want food, I tried to blag it and have it included.
Im going to be completly wankered by the time I get to you guys, coz one of my clients is taking me out for lunch at a posh place in London. I will be back by 7, but in what state I don't know.

Looking forward to tonight, seems like ages since I last kicked a ball. remember everyone to bring your other £8 pounds tonight so that we can pay Matt. Massive thanks to Matt for helping with the payment.
Ive got all the money to take to footy tonight, so see you all there.

You know, for once, I think at the moment I'd almost prefer to see Utd win it. First of all wondering whether Browny's right, now this. What the fuck is going on?
Yeah I hate clubs that play so called weak teams and claim they arn't interested in winning the League or FA cup, at the end of the day every team should wanna win everything, it's the whole point ain't it?

But on the other hand, I hate Manyoo more than all those clubs put together and would rather the arse or Chelsea won the prem than Utd.
To be honest, that's twice now that Arsenal have taken a steep drop in my estimation - first of all cowering in the corner at the FA Cup final and now basically 'throwing' two games in a semi-final of a cup. If they weren't interested in winning it, they should have gone out ages ago and given the chance to a club who were interested in it. I really hope now that they end up with nothing out of the season, no FA Cup, no Premiership and no whatever that European thing is that always makes me sleepy.

My two penneth.

Will try to find out what game we've got off coming up, I think it's the 22nd Feb, but I'll confirm.

Wednesday, February 04, 2004

Or maybe im right about the radio one thing and the jongleurs thing. More likely than browny being right about anything.

I went on the jongleurs website, you can get normal 'boxes' of food to share for £8, or large one for £12, lots of choices, chinese, southern fried etc.

Fantastic for colchester, first time in 24 years i think, lost to Manchester united in '79. I know what you mean about sheff utd too, coventry was ok because, although it wasnt a big team, at least they were beatable. Bit pissed off with sky too, if they had shown the match, colchester would have got £250,000, but they showed the arsenal reserves-boro game instead. I know im a gooner, but i would have prefered to watch colchester last night!

Do you know when they week off is shane? Considering going up to the Sheffield United game...dont want to miss any shefford matches though!
I see the Radio 1 competition has just fizzled out then? Looks like John Sills was right, they haven't even found a winner yet, haven't played the match and Nemone's changed show time to be on early in the mornings so she doesn't do Sundays anymore (I don't think - can't bring myself to listen to it in the car in case I nod off). So it all came to nothing for everyone.

So if John was right, maybe Browny is right? If they bring out food on Friday night then my whole understanding of the universe is turned upside down...
Can't believe you just put that, sit down again.
I don't really mind, it's just better to know, hate to have got there and been starving, also hate to have got there and been drinking on an empty stomach, as we all know from the Christmas party how that ends up.

Very very messy for Steve T and John L and any furniture in the vicinity of Smurf.

And anyway, perhaps Browny is right.

Sorry, had to sit down for a while.

So Browny was trying to buy us off with excuses, and then when we didn't get any food, say 'well they told me it was included'.

He'd better speak to Mike about getting some bandages.
Shin pads...
There is food available, but you have to pay extra for it.
Just phoned Jongleurs and they reckon there'll be no food.
I'll do the same I think, as soon as the Reading lot (and Dave L) hear theres chips there be saving up there crisp packets. Don't tell Mikey, cos he'll turn up with his kids!

How come you've been cutting down then? Any particular reason or just getting in tone for the hols?
Dunno, whoever it is should wear their pads too.

Browny reckons that we get chips, sausages and stuff tonight, which means there'll be pretty much fuck all after they split it between however many of us are going. Personally, I'm going to expect no food at all and grab myself something before I set off, that way if there is food it's a bonus, but if there's not then I won't be starving. I've cut down on alcohol so much recently that it only takes a couple of drinks and I'm off my head, so it should be a good night but a rough Saturday morning!

TVS at home on Sunday.
Who gave Browny the job of sorting it anyway?
Don't say that, I sent him an e-mail last Thursday telling him to wear his shinners, and the fucker didn't turn up!

Colchesters run is all down to parky... What a legend.
Oh yeah, and to answer your questions, Julie and I are off to the Maldives for two weeks. I'm here for the TVS game on Sunday morning, then we fly Sunday night to Male, then get on a seaplane to Velavaru - - not the best website in the world but it gives you an idea, or take a look at

for a much better idea of the essence of the place. Nice.

I'll bring along the fixture list tomorrow night, but there's one Sunday with no game while we're away, though they might try to rearrange the WKD game (MDM is already rearranged for later in March).
Yeah, bit of a shame that after beating Coventry you only get to go to Sheffield Utd. Still a big money earner for the club, but not as good as being put against someone like Boro, Bolton, Villa, Spurs, Leeds, etc, bigger clubs but who are so pants that it gives you a fighting chance. Sheff Utd are a shitty club but their team are playing well at the moment.

Isn't it the first time in 54 years Colchester have reached the last 16 or something?

So no food at Jongleurs then. Doesn't surprise me. So what else? Do we actually get in? It'd be nice to have something to show for the £16, a parking space maybe? Maybe the £16 bought that voucher, which then entitled us to the buy one get one free tickets, which are all sold out. Wear your shin pads tomorrow night Browny. Down your shorts.

Tuesday, February 03, 2004

take a look...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/fa_cup/3447207.stm
Ill post the socres boss, where are tyou going then? How long for? Any other requests for scores you want to see? Livingston? Marine? Accrington Stanley?

By the way, from talking to people in reading, i really dont think we get a meal with this jongleurs thingy...
Who's going to take responsibility for posting, on a Sunday, the footy scores on this blogger while I'm away?

I'd need the Shefford score (duh), the AFC Wimbledon score which can usually be found in the small print section of the News Of The World, and the Villa score for the little lady, plus any other Prem scores that you can remember when you're posting.

Given the home access situation, John Sills is nominated by proxy, but if there are any problems with this Mr S, can you let me know so I can find someone else who can do this.
I see Arthur Scargill has just given evidence at the Michael Jackson case - he reckons Jacko phoned him to see if he wanted to come over and take a look at a load of minors' helmets.
Thursdays fine mate, no probs.

I'm doing well, so far I have £8! I've asked Jonny S to ask anyone from Reading to bring it on Thursday. I haven't a clue whos even coming and if they even know it's now £16. Some I obviously won't see until Friday, so as long as they know about the extra, they can pay then.

Browny assures me he's coming training on Thursday and will bring everything he's collected then.
How are you doing for cash for that Matt? I've got all our lot but is it okay to wait til Thursday or do you need it now?

Handed the trophy back last night gents, had to go to Lakeside Superbowl and hand it directly to Jim Wild before the Management Meeting. Bizarrely, he was as nice as pie, very pleasant, laughing and joking, a completely different man. Maybe he changes his tune when clubs become respectable in the First Div? Maybe he just didn't have a clue who I was? Maybe I handed it to some old man with a moustache who wasn't Jim Wild but now thinks he's won something? Still, wherever it is now we'll drink a toast to it and some great footy moments during last season, John Lamb's goals against Hermitage and Hospital, Dave's four against Henwick after Genghis's amazing own goal, and tonking Mobile Streams 6-0 as they realised that we were the top dog and we'd just chewed through our leash. Remember that game, hail and driving winds? Remembe Shalbourne 11-1? There's a link here, we need to find a home pitch in the arctic circle we'll be awesome...
I'm sure one of the stand ups at some point will single us out - then it's just a question of who cops it. It will either be...

Me - cos I'm manager and he'll ask who the manager is
Crabbeman - cos he's captain and he'll ask who the captain is
Genghis - cos he'll be wearing bandages
Smurf - cos he won't be able to keep his mouth shut
Browny - Browny

Knowing his luck, Dave Lewis will get lost on the way back from the toilet, end up on stage and get offered a lucrative career in live stand-up.
John you used to eat shit as a student dam times where hard! did you have to put onions in it to make it have a bit of spice. And now your a tax paying wanker like the rest of us. coll ain't it!!!

Matty cunt!!

Monday, February 02, 2004

Does it help you find the way there in the dark, Shane?

I really miss being a student, getting up when i wanted, going out on the piss every night, not having to pay tax, eating shit, and being surrounded by loose women. And now where am I? Im a tax paying banker, up early, and practically married!

Still, lets all go to jongleurs, do something to make the comedian notice Browny, sit back and enjoy the fun unfold...
Cunt with a flag.
I know...

Cunt.

(before anyone else calls me it!)
Well think of us poor soles... The fuckers won't give us a pay rise, but still put c-tax up 10% !!

I bet you all feel terrible now don't ya....
Cunt.
Not my fault mate!
Dunno yet, depends how i'm feeling....

I don't know! I just work here, surely you don't expect the Government to actually inform people whats going on in the country.... I think we find out the day before you. But it's safe to say at least 10%.
I don't care cause your job pays my wages. And in March I'm going to Butlins.
Cunt.
You know how Monday morning's at work always feel so rank? Well, this should help, this is my only Monday at work in February.

Did that help? No?
